Privacy policy

How ShutterAI handles your information.

Last updated September 4, 2026. This is a summary for the early-access period. The full policy will be published before public launch and shown in the app.

What we collect

  • Account details such as your email address and Sign in with Apple identifier.
  • Photos, videos and edits that you capture or import into ShutterAI and choose to store in your vault, together with the recipes you apply to them.
  • Technical information about your media, for example capture time, camera settings, depth information and descriptive tags, which the app uses to power features like Best Face, Curate and Vibe Search.
  • Usage information such as which features you use and basic device details, to keep the app working well.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: storing your library, applying and sharing recipes, rendering looks, and delivering Studio features.
  • To improve ShutterAI, including developing and improving the looks, editing tools and models that power the app, in line with the choices available to you in the app and this policy.
  • To communicate with you about your account, invites and new features.

Where your media is processed

Some features run on your iPhone and some run on our servers or with our technology partners. Studio features send the photo you choose to an image model to perform the edit you asked for, and results are labeled in the app.

Sharing

Recipe links contain the look, not your photo. We share information with service providers who help us run ShutterAI, and as required by law. What you post to other platforms is governed by those platforms.

Your choices

  • Export your library and recipes from Settings.
  • Delete photos, or your account, from Settings.
  • Manage location and other permissions in iOS Settings.

Terms of use, briefly

ShutterAI is provided by AppFusion. You must be 13 or older. You keep ownership of your photos and grant us the permissions needed to store, process and display them so we can provide and improve the service. Don't use the app to create images that deceive or harm others. Studio features may require a subscription billed through the App Store. The service is provided as-is during early access.
